Data rollover, or data banking, is a plan feature that lets you keep any unused data from the previous month by rolling it over to the next month.

Usually, plan inclusions reset at the end of the month, so any unused data disappears. For example, if you get 10GB to use each month with your plan, but only use 8GB a month, you’ve effectively lost the 2GB of data you didn’t use because your plan resets the next month.  With data rollover, leftover data is added to your allowance for the next period.

Data sharing, or data pooling, is a plan feature that allows you to pool all your monthly data allowance together across multiple data sharing plans on the one account.

Usually, plan inclusions only allow you to use your set amount of data each month. With data sharing, if you have multiple sharing plans on the same account, you will be able to share it on multiple devices. For example, if you get 10GB to use each month with your plan, 20GB on your partners plan & 20GB on a data only plan in a device you effectively have 50GB of data you can share.
